
Garlicky Chilli Butter Egg Toast
This egg toast is the ultimate comfort recipe—Garlicky Chilli Butter Egg Toast that’s rich, simple, and full of flavour. Made with Conestoga Farms free-run eggs, it brings together wholesome ingredients with a hint of heat for a dish that feels a little elevated without any extra effort. It’s easy to make, hard to mess up, and perfect for any time of day.
Ingredients
- Chilli Butter
- 1/4 cup salted butter
- 1 1/2 Tbsp chilli flakes
- 3 cloves garlic sliced
- 1 tsp salt
- 4 eggs
- 4 slices of sourdough bread
- 2 Avocados
- Handful of micro green and fresh basil
Instructions
- In a pot, melt salted butter over high heat with chilli flakes, garlic, and salt. Cook until frothy, then transfer to a small bowl.
- In a pan, heat 1 tbsp of the garlicky chilli butter. Cook one egg at a time, keeping the yolk runny. Repeat for the remaining eggs and set aside.
- On a serving plate, layer toasted sourdough with mashed avocado. Top with the cooked egg, micro-greens, and fresh basil.
- Drizzle with extra garlicky chilli butter and serve immediately. Enjoy!
